Unforgettable Disco Jelly Fish wedding at Burning Man
Oh yeah. My Burning Man people. Black Rock City is my most favorite place on this planet. I’ve met the best people here. Playa is home for me and shooting weddings here is second nature for me. When Bunny and Sarah messaged me that they are going to have a ceremony with and their most awesome disco jelly fish art car will be there to transport them around, I like “Fu*k yeah!” And it was hands down one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.

During Burning Man I always check on my couples the day before to make sure I know where they camp, haha. Sometimes it’s hard to find specific locations and especially personal campsites. We chatted a bit, I was introduced to everyone and everyone was so happy I was there. I felt so welcome and catered to. Pure luxury if someone in 100 degree weather offers you an ice cold beverage!
After getting ready we hopped on the disco jelly fish art car with was a regular car covered in disco balls. It had a huge sunbrella with light ropes hanging down as tentacles and in the back it had a lounge area that was covered in purple fur. We hit the road and head towards a special art piece on the open playa. Everyone attending the ceremony was biking around us following our disco jelly art car. The sun was about to set and it was just magical. I felt was a part of something really special.
We got to the ceremony location: the heart shaped art installation that was spinning around and you could interact with it. What a cute place they picked. During the ceremony we heard a few speeches (one in German if I remember correctly, but I don’t think anyone else spoke German :D), someone played a guitar and then there was a kiss and someone popped a bottle of champagne that got passed along. I had this overwhelming sense of friendship, community and belonging. Everyone was so happy. Including me.
After the ceremony someone brought a mountain of pancakes that was layered with Nutella and anyone could come and just grab a bite from it. This day was the sole definition of freedom. It was the first time I truly felt that we can do whatever we want on our wedding day. We don’t have to listen to anyone. There are no rules. We don’t have to have this and that or whatever our families or other people say to have a good time, to have an unforgettable meaningful experience. Do you and you will be happy. I guarantee you.
Thank you so much for having me! I will never forget you, Bunny and Sarah!
Love,
Andy
